A summary of things you should know about How To Quit Working according to Jeff Steinmann:

Introduction

In this episode Jeff Steinmann reveals all his insights on his book, How To Quit Working, where shares a simple plan to leave your job for a life a freedom.

In his book Steinmann provides flexible strategies, examples, and step-by-step instructions on what it takes to create your own business with the smallest amount of repercussions as possible. The goal of the book is to teach you innovative strategies for becoming an entrepreneur, how to overcome typical marketing barriers, how to develop a business idea while working, and how to find your ideal market.

This book is perfect for aspiring entrepreneurs who are currently working for someone else and are ready to take their entrepreneurial journey to the next level.

The Book’s Unique Quality (2:30)

I tried really hard to eliminate all of the business words and just talk in plain simple English. I try to be really practical and tailor all of the information in the book to someone who is working a full-time job and trying to get out and start their own business.

The Best Way To Engage (3:53)

I specifically designed the book to be read from front to back.

The Reader’s Takeaway (12:13)

The concept that I want the reader to take away is to get away from this whole thought of success and failure. You have got to start to think about everything you do in terms of a hypothesis.

A Deep Dive Into The Book (5:01)

The most important thing for those working a full-time job and trying to quit and start a business is changing the way that you look at starting a business. You have to get away from what I call the idea mentality and the idea mentality is perpetuated by shows like Shark Tank. You have to get away from that idea and move towards the concept of figuring out what it is that people are already gravitating towards you for and that’s where your business has to start if you want to be successful and remain sane. Once you come up with your idea you will need to get the word out via social media or bulletin boards or church groups or any other way you see fit. From there you will want to figure out what problems people have with that particular topic and find ways the meet those needs and fix those problems. Now that you have that hypothesis you need to go out and test it and the way you do that is by asking people if they want to pay you money to do it. Your hypothesis is not proven until someone offers you money and it isn’t until then that you know you have an idea that is worth something.

NOTE: That was just a summary. To get the full deep dive, play the audio clip at 05:01

Notable Quotes From The Book (13:09)

“If social media is changing your life than you are on it too much.” – Jeff Steinmann

The Credibility/Inspiration Of The Author (0:36)

I am kind of like everyone else in that I went to high school and college and I thought there was no better option but to get a job. So I fell into a career in technology and did that for about 15 years and tried many times to escape the gravity of the corporate world and was unsuccessful many of those times. April 15, 2012 I was finally successful and I have been doing business in marketing consulting, real estate investing, and also building this great platform around how to help people quit their jobs and start a business.

The inspiration was to share the difference in terms of mindset, approach, and all those different kinds of things when wanting to quit your job and start your own business.

A summary of things you should know about Real Moms Making Real Money Blogging according to Stephanie O’Dea:

Introduction

In this episode Stephanie O’Dea shares all her insights on her book, Real Moms Making Real Money Blogging, where she discusses an alternative job for stay-at-home moms.

In her book O’Dea shares her personal story of how she turned to blogging as a way to make significant amounts of income while working at home in her pajamas and taking care of her 3 children. The goal of the book is to help you uncover things that interest you, teach you how to turn your interests into a money-making blog, and show you other ways to earn money from home.

This book is perfect for entrepreneurs who have an interest in creating an online business that is unique to their own personal interests, hobbies, and skillsets.

The Book’s Unique Quality (3:37)

At the time when I first started I was determined that I could make something from virtually nothing and that’s what I did and what I am hoping to share with others who want to find a way to make a legitimate income from their kitchen table.

The Best Way To Engage (5:00)

Most of my reviews from Amazon and my friends who tested it said that they sat and read it all in one setting. It’s a quick read, the way I write is the way I speak in sort of a conversational style. I think reading it through once to get a fill for it and then going back and dog earing the pages that you want to dive a little bit more into.

The Reader’s Takeaway (13:08)

My whole purpose for writing this was to show that you can make something from absolutely nothing.

A Deep Dive Into The Book (6:36)

This book is geared to the beginner blogger or the on the fence blogger who is not sure how to do it and may be a little intimidated with some of the advice out there. And so I spelled it out in a way that search engine optimization is giving the readers what they are already searching for.

Another thing that I like about the way I formatted my book verses other books is that I am ok with sharing insight or secrets. I think holding your cards too closely isn’t helpful and so I fully laid out the steps that I have taken. I also talk about how I consider myself a mommy blogger but I don’t talk about my kids. I have three girls and their pictures have never been online. I don’t even have a personal Facebook page, I believe in keeping family life and business completely and totally separate.

I talk about how to sell your own ads in the sidebar, how to create your own product to sell, and I’ve dabbled a little bit into the publishing world.
One other piece of advice I would give to you is to go with the gut test. I think women in general are blessed with this intuition and if it feels wrong, it’s wrong.

NOTE: That was just a summary. To get the full deep dive, play the audio clip at 06:36

Notable Quotes From The Book (14:08)

“Handle every single interaction online as a customer service representative would. You’re your best advocate and you will always be your best personal relations manager.” – Stephanie O’Dea

The Credibility/Inspiration Of The Author (0:36)

I am a mom of three girls, a 13, 10 and 5 year old. And I am lucky enough that I work fulltime at home while I am able to take care of my children. I am a New York Times bestselling cookbook author, a slow cooking expert, and your typical normal everyday mommy blogger next door.

I personally needed to make money from home and so I wanted to dive into finding a legitimate way to do that. This book is written for others moms who might be in the same situations. I had this fire in my belly that I had to find a way to make money from home.

Reading through Jesse Krieger’s story is like peeking into a world where all your dreams come true. From a successful rock star to a bestselling author, it seems like everything Krieger touches turns to gold. And while it may be tempting to read his story and think that he was born under a lucky star, there’s no reason why you can’t duplicate his success. Here are five lessons that any entrepreneur can learn from Jesse Krieger’s life.

1. What if Money Were No Object

Probably the first thing you think about whenever you get a new idea is, how much is that going to cost me? New businesses (and old businesses too, sometimes) live and die by their budget. It certainly isn’t irresponsible for you to be mindful of how much a new investment is going to cost and running some figures to see if it’s worth the money. To really kick your business into the next gear, however, Jesse Krieger suggests a different approach.

Begin by asking yourself what you would do if money were no object. Don’t be afraid to dream big here. Paint a big picture and have fun playing with the details. Solidify your ideas by putting them down on paper. And then start investigating how much it would cost to actually turn this dream into a reality. Usually, it turns out that things cost much less than we fear they will. It may not start out quite the same as that dream image, but with a little creative thinking you can get a good start at making things happen. You never know until you try.

2. Lifestyle First

Being a lifestyle entrepreneur is much more than just getting a new job. Incorporating your business into your lifestyle makes it much easier for you to manage your business without giving up any of your loves. Many people think that when they structure their business, that has to get top priority. The rest of their life gets put on hold until they have their new company up and running. But the fact is it could be years before your business really finds solid ground. That’s a long time to be tied down to one project that is eating up most of your time.

Just like asking what you would do if money were no object, ask what your ideal life would look like. Do you want to do a lot of traveling? Do you want to see the cities of the world or would you rather explore the wilderness areas? Maybe travel isn’t your thing and you just want to settle down in a quiet country town somewhere. Determine those factors first and then build your business model around scenarios that makes that possible.

3. Structure for Scalability from Day One

If your business is a product based business, make sure it is a systems-based process. Each and every order goes through the exact same process so that once you have your system in place, it never needs to be revisited. For an online business, having a fulfillment system in place is the biggest time saver here. At the very beginning of your business, it might not seem very difficult to have a basement full of inventory that you are shipping out. As your business grows, however, you are going to have a bigger and bigger inventory to manage. Setting it up from day one so that your products are being shipped directly from the manufacturer, for instance, will make it much easier for your business to grow without becoming too much for you to handle.

For a service-based business, it’s all about having a one to many offer. One on one coaching may sound appealing, but it makes it very difficult to expand your business as you only time for so many meetings or sessions in a day. To keep up with a growing client base, you have to structure your business from the very beginning to allow you to reach multiple people at once.

4. Master Online Talent Markets

There are a lot of sites out there, such as Elance and Odesk, which allow you to place ads for jobs that you need done and receive competitive bids from skilled workers. Website design, marketing work, programming, and even administrative work can all be farmed out on these sites.

To get great deals from these sites, divide work between designers and programmers. Splitting the project up makes it a smaller job, which means that you can pay less per job. If you send the job off to one group, they are going to want enough money to pay a team as it is unlikely that one person will be able to meet your deadline on a large job like designing and programming a website. Dividing the work can halve your cost.

5. Cultivate a Culture of Contribution

Many people go into entrepreneurship worried only about getting ahead and helping themselves. But anyone who has ever tried to start a business can tell you that it’s not a one person job. Reaching back to share your experience with those who have only just started a new business helps build a culture of contribution. The more this culture develops, the easier it is for you to find help when you need it. And remember, someone asking you for help today may be in a position to give you help tomorrow.

A summary of things you should know about Unstoppable Entrepreneurship according to Ilkka Lavas:

Introduction

In this episode Ilkka Lavas takes a deep dive into his book, Unstoppable Entrepreneurship where he shares his experience on what makes an entrepreneur unstoppable.

In his book, Lavas reveals over 18 years of experience as an entrepreneur and addresses the successes, failures, and tactics that took him from a 17 year old web designer to a 35 year old serial entrepreneur. The goal of the book is to teach you new ways to be successful, overcome hurdles, take your business to the top in the digital age we live in today.

This book is perfect for aspiring entrepreneurs who are in the early stages of startup development and are learning from the success stories of experienced entrepreneurs.

The Book’s Unique Quality (2:55)

If you read management or self-help tip books they all are around the same topics about what makes you successful and how you set your goals. In my book I open with how to become unstoppable and I also share my biggest lessons and failures along the way.

The Best Way To Engage (4:02)

The tips and chapters in the book are fairly easy to read. Many of my readers have said that they read this book in two hours.

The Reader’s Takeaway (9:11)

As an entrepreneur one of my favorite ideas is that if you want to be successful you must understand that you have to be successful every day. I believe that we shouldn’t be waiting for that one day when we become successful; we should be living for the moment.

A Deep Dive Into The Book (4:48)

The book starts from 12 years ago when I was 23 years old and I had 17 people working for my company. The first chapter is about never giving up. When the IT bubble burst my company’s volume of orders fell and we had a serious cash flow crisis. Things became much less pleasant, less fun and exciting. I couldn’t sleep because I was worried how I could pay salaries for my employees. I had to make the choice to either file my company for bankruptcy or try and continue the business. I didn’t want to give up so I started thinking about what the worst thing was that could happen to me if I failed trying to save this company.

I realized that if I failed or didn’t even try saving the company the worst case scenario was that my company would go bankrupt. I calculated that I could save the company by downsizing the amount of employees and by handling all the sold and still open cases as well. So I called the tax officers and talked about the payment terms and they took some of our office furniture as a payment of the bills. With a heavy heart I had to lay off 12 people including some very close friends. After not paying my own salary for many months the challenge in downsizing finally ended 14 months later when I paid my last unpaid tax payment. I was exhausted but I didn’t give up and I survived my first big business challenge.

Chapter two is about the things that make you unstoppable.

Chapter three is about reflecting your life habits. It’s very important to know what your strengths and weaknesses are in life.

Chapter four is about managing your own self. You must manage yourself or someone else will.

Chapter five is about how to create new competitive advantages.

The biggest idea of my book is how to go from a state of crisis to a state of success.

The Credibility/Inspiration Of The Author (0:59)

I am 35 years old and a serial entrepreneur. I am involved with 10 companies and I have around 100 people working in my companies. I started my first startup when I was 17 years old so half of my life I have spent as an entrepreneur.

I have been teaching entrepreneurs here in Finland for the last 10 years. I wrote my first book seven years ago about positive things about entrepreneurship. Since then I have been growing my businesses based on that book and because of that I now have many successful companies. I wanted to write down the principles and management tips that I have learned in my life as an entrepreneur. I have been teaching myself about being unstoppable and this book will help others do the same.

Do you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur?

Realizing the answer to this question is often a difficult task. And often, it takes a series of hurdles for you to identify this trait in your personality. But how do you know whether it is right for you to quit your day job and start on a venture of your own? Well, there is no easy answer to this.

The good thing is that most entrepreneurs share certain characteristics. If you can identify with these, chances are high that you may have that entrepreneurial spirit in you. But don’t despair if you don’t fit them all.

Let’s take a look at some ways to tell if you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur:

You have a passion to do something. Passion for what they do is what drives the successful entrepreneurs. Edison tried and failed 10,000 times before he could design the light bulb. We may have had to do with candles still if he had given up. But he had the passion that drove him to success. Do you have the same?

You have a seriously poor employment history. Have you quit more jobs than you can remember? Not because you were not good but because you felt you were stuck – maybe even at the top when even success gets stale. If so, the next best thing is to start on an endeavor of your own where you can effectively and efficiently manage yourself.

You have the nerve to take risks. Fred Smith nearly failed his business management course when he developed a business model that focused on express delivery service. But this did not deter him from putting his thoughts into action. And FedEx was born. All entrepreneurs aren’t overnight successes. But they have the courage to follow their dreams.

You think outside the box. When the worst financial crisis hits the world, many entrepreneurs cowered in front of it. But Sarah Lavely saw an opportunity. She offered people the opportunity to vent out their frustration and relieve stress in an amazing way – throwing stuff at a wall after you buy it.

You have a broader perspective of security. For some, a secured job is a good enough thing. For others, there is no security at a job that depends on others. You never know when a silly or spiteful decision of a boss or a mess-up of the board of directors will screw it. For such souls, security is only in a job where you yourself are responsible for everything.

You have the determination to get back on your feet even after a bad fall. If you mope after every little failure, it’s best to avoid entrepreneurship. Successful entrepreneurs get back on their feet immediately after they face failure. Take Bill Gates for example – his initial Traf-O-Data was a super failure. But he moved on and became a success.

You have the support of people close to you. No entrepreneur is a success on his/her own. They need the support of their family and friends to make it through the tough times – and there sure are enough of those! Also, successful entrepreneurs never surround themselves with “yes-men”; instead, they depend on truthful advisors who can tell all at their face.

It doesn’t take a superhuman to succeed in business. But it does require the right traits to be happy and successful at it.

If you fit all these seven signs, then you have the most of what it takes to be an entrepreneur. If you don’t, no worries! There are no sure formulas to success and you may turn out to be an amazing entrepreneur even if you had a successful career as an employee. In the end passion and motivation are the key aggregators of a true entrepreneur.

A summary of things you should know about Virtual Freedom according to Chris Ducker:

Introduction

In this episode Chris Ducker takes a deep dive into his book, Virtual Freedom, where he provides the ultimate resource necessary for building a business with the help of virtual employees.

In his book, Ducker gives you a step-by-step guide to figure out the jobs you should outsource along with hiring, training, motivating, and managing virtual assistants. The goal of the book is to show you how to buy more time, become more productive, and build your business through virtual assistants.

This book is perfect for entrepreneurs that have outgrown their daily tasks, are thinking about hiring other people, and are operating with a small, limited budget.

The Book’s Unique Quality (3:51)

I don’t think there are too many books out there that really cover this topic properly. There are a few books that mention outsourcing but they failed to actually show you how to do it. This is your essential guide on finding, hiring, training, managing and working with virtual staff to help you run, support and grow your business.

The Best Way To Engage (6:10)

You can jump in and out but it’s always best to read straight through.

The Reader’s Takeaway (15:52)

Without a doubt it would be the 3 list to freedom exercise. The reason why this is the one thing that I would want people to take away from the book and take real action on is because it changed my life.

A Deep Dive Into The Book (7:20)

In the introduction of the book we talk about my personal burn out story where I hit burn out after working 16 hours a day for three to four years. I was building my business and had about 100 employees at the time and I hit a brick wall. It became very, very evident to me that I was no longer running my business, my business was running me. We put a plan in place by the end of 2010 to remove myself from the business and become a virtual CEO. Which is what we achieved and I have been doing it ever since. I only work four days a week, I have a three day weekend and I work five to six hours a day maximum. It wasn’t always like this so in the book I talk about my struggle and my demons in regards to that micromanagement and superhero syndrome. From there we set about helping the reader overcome their superhero syndrome that’s within them.

Section one of the book is all about finding and hiring virtual staff. We go through everything from being very real and mentioning the facts that although we would love to just hire one person to do everything in our business, it’s not possible. You have got to hire for the role not for the tasks. And then we start off the entire book by introducing our 3 lists to freedom. The first list is a list of all the things that you hate doing every day. The second list is a list of all the things that you struggle doing and the third list is all the things that as an entrepreneur you feel like you shouldn’t be doing

In section two we go through the actual training of your virtual staff.

Section three is all about managing your VA and we go through all the different types of VA roles and how to manage them properly. We talk about the difference between tasks and projects and how they are managed differently.

Section four is about going overseas or staying local and the pros and cons of doing that.

Section five is my favorite section of the entire book because it starts to really level up everything you are doing from an entrepreneurial perspective and building a real team.

We wrap up with a bonus section where I talk about the most frequently committed mistakes by entrepreneurs when they start building virtual teams and how to avoid those as well.

Notable Quotes From The Book (20:46)

“Work on your business and don’t be trapped working inside your business.” – Chris Ducker

The Credibility/Inspiration Of The Author (0:33)

I am originally from London in the UK. I am a sales and marketing guy and was in the publishing business for a long time over there. I came over to the Philippines to deep dive into the outsourcing world in 2000. In 2004 I set up my first business and sold that in 2008. After that I dipped back into the 9 to 5 for almost two years and then in 2008 I decided to go ahead and start that entrepreneurial journey again which I’ve been on ever since. We now have almost 300 employees and are a multi seven figure business annually. I have a blog, a podcast and speak as well.

I have been involved in the outsourcing business for a long time and particularly since the 4 hour work week came out I have become more active online. It had become very evident to me that there were a lot of people in the same space claiming to be gurus that really had no idea what they were talking about. There were so many false truths being pushed out on the internet that it was actually starting to cause me problems in my business. I wanted to write those wrongs that were everywhere online and provide a resource and an essential guide to finding, hiring, managing and working with virtual staff to build your business.

What makes an entrepreneur? The ability to transform an idea or innovation into a successful enterprise is what distinguishes a style of an entrepreneur. But, unlike what you may think, not all entrepreneurs are created equal.

Different approaches, different goals, different attitudes make different entrepreneurs. And the differences may not be as pronounced at all times. The question is – do you know which kind of entrepreneur you are?

Before you find out the answer, let’s take a look at the 7 unique styles of entrepreneurs:

Wannabes – Well, they always want to get out of their regular work life and make something big. But that is all they do – they theorize. Wannabe entrepreneurs are always full of ideas about how they can make money only if they had some funds or resources.

The basic idea behind their grand schemes is to get out of their life as an employee at an organization. They are lured by the enticement of freedom, choice and success; but without the capabilities and skills, they always remain where they are.

Survivalists – When it is all about survival, little or no long-term benefits can be achieved. And this is exactly what happens to this category of entrepreneurs. They work just to keep their ventures afloat.

Be it a shop selling trinkets and accessories or a professional offering plumbing service, if they don’t have any long-term goals, they will just survive on their daily earnings. And never turn their efforts into a successful venture.

Managers – It’s good to have some experience of working in a startup before you venture out on your own. But if you are stuck in that role, you will never work on your business; you will always work in it instead.

The focus of managerial entrepreneurs is on the day-to-day work of the entire team. And they fail to pay attention to the other important aspects of it. And that’s why their businesses remain good, but never become great.

Innovators – If you can think on your feet, you have the ability to face and handle different, and difficult, situations. An innovator can do this. When Edison said “I haven’t failed, I’ve found 10,000 ways that don’t work”, he meant it.

The attitude is what distinguishes an innovator from a failure. Even Bill Gates failed with his initial venture Traf-O-Data. But he didn’t give up, and went on to become one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all times.

Revolutionaries – What is your goal as an entrepreneur? It’s good to focus on how you can change the world. But as an entrepreneur, you have to focus on other, and more, urgent issues at hand.

For an entrepreneur, it is important to pay attention to profits. And then you have all the opportunity to focus on the good to mankind. But if you take the other way round, you are in for some serious trouble.

Calculators – In a similar fashion, if your sole focus is on the money you make, you’ll soon be swallowed up by the figures. Ending up like Uncle Scrooge thinking about profits won’t be such a nice thing, after all.

The best idea is to maintain a rational balance. Don’t get it wrong; it’s important to get profits if you wish to succeed as an entrepreneur. But it’s also important to focus on the other points such as innovation in products, betterment of services, and so on.

Opportunists – It doesn’t sound too good. But it is perhaps the best approach you can take to be a successful entrepreneur. These entrepreneurs think about the chief reason behind their desire – many love the freedom to do what they want.

They also consider the chances of success of their idea or innovation. And then look for opportunities to make an entrance into the specific industry and the niche. And once they find it, they follow a stepwise process to turn their idea into a successful endeavor.

Lifestyle entrepreneurs do what they love and love what they do and become successful.

A summary of things you should know about Lifestyle Entrepreneur according to Jesse Krieger

Introduction

In this episode Wade meets with Jesse Krieger, author of Lifestyle Entrepreneur. If you are an entrepreneur that that believes in the motto “passion before profit” or are at a battle between the style of entrepreneur that describes you then “Lifestyle Entrepreneur” is for you.

The Book’s Unique Quality

I’ve founded or co-founded over 5 companies, helped dozens of Entrepreneurs start businesses and so I bring a firsthand perspective from being “in the trenches” at any given time working on the starting and the launch or growth of 2 or 3 business. So I’d like to think that I know what I’m talking about and I’m speaking from experience. It’s a collection of firsthand account stories of being in different lifestyle context mixed with how-tos and frame works that readers can use to put into practice in their own life and businesses.

The Reader’s Takeaway

The one thing I would want a reader to take away from this book is that you can go from not believing that this is possible for your life to firmly, fully believing that you have agency to create the lifestyle that you want to build a business based on your interests and passions. If there is just one thing that you can take away is that this is possible, it’s been done, that this is both my life and many of my closest friends’ lifestyles. So opening a door into a new way of business and proving it’s possible.

A Deep Dive Into The Book

I take you right into being in the middle of a book tour in Malaysia and literally hiking in the jungles of Borneo one day and then speaking on stages in front of 100 people the next day. It starts with a sweeping overview of how I see the world changing today, specifically with the ability to hire and manage teams from anywhere in the world and the ability to work anywhere in the world with a laptop and internet connection. By the time you are a third of the way through the book, the reader should have a lot more clarity on not only what’s possible but what’s the ideal case for them. It allows specificity for the reading without telling people what they should do, rather giving the opportunity for the reading to discover and empowering them to think bigger within the context of what’s possible in this day and age. As we get closer to the end I give very specific recommendations on tools, software to use and ways to set up a workflow. By the time you get to the end of the book my goals is that the reading has an expanded view of what’s possible in life and business and now has the tools, resources, next steps and action plans to make it real.

Notable Quotes From The Book

“When you know what you want, it becomes clear what must be done, as you do eventually you come to be and that is your identity.” – Jesse Krieger

The Credibility/Inspiration Of The Author

My inspiration is the result of not knowing how to answer the question ‘what do you do’ because it changed frequently. It started as a shorter piece but as I was writing and got additional inspiration, I decided to expand it out and do a full book that’s a mix of how to and stories/strategies for success as well as some featured lifestyle entrepreneurs that also embody this ethos; to be able to travel freely and frequently, to live a life of passion and purpose.

When you organize a business and assume responsibility for its success or setback, you become an entrepreneur. But what makes someone a lifestyle entrepreneur? It is essentially the basic premise of placing passion before profit.

One marked distinction between an entrepreneur and a lifestyle entrepreneur lies in their attitude towards money. While an entrepreneur is in pursuit of profits, a lifestyle entrepreneur is satisfied with just ‘enough’ of it.

A lifestyle entrepreneur loves what they do and do what they love, even if it means a little less money.

Their focus is more on the lifestyle advantages that working on their own businesses offer – being at home with family, flexible working hours, satisfying creative spirits, working with people they want to, or for other such reasons.

But not everyone can be a lifestyle entrepreneur. It requires specific personal traits. Along with the urge to make a business out of their passion, they also need to have the right kind of attitude and approach to ensure their success.

To be a successful lifestyle entrepreneur you need to have the right personal qualities.

Independent
An independence of spirit is essential to succeed as an entrepreneur. And it is indispensable for a lifestyle entrepreneur. Your will to do something on your own, to put your passion into practice, and earn from it, is your only driving force.

Take for example the homemaker who bakes cookies as gifts for her family and friends. And she loves it. She will be happy to continue doing it. But with an independence of spirit and a goal to do something, she may very well start a business of handcrafted cookies.

Flexible
One of the reasons individuals want to have their own businesses is the flexibility they get with regard to working hours. But again, flexibility in approach is another personal characteristic that a lifestyle entrepreneur needs to possess.

Be it selling a product or providing a service, you need to strategize according to your target market, your industry, and your customer. If you aren’t flexible enough to adjust your tactics to the variable situations, you won’t be able to achieve success.

Resilient
Lifestyle entrepreneurs aren’t in pursuit of money. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t bothered about it. The only factor is that they are satisfied with just enough for their efforts. But again, they aren’t broken down by their failures.

Resilience of character is an essential trait of such an individual. They are equally capable of handling a success (which don’t go to their heads) as well as a failure (which doesn’t crush them). They treat them as stepping stones on their path to do what they want to.

Committed
When you decide to become a lifestyle entrepreneur, don’t just proceed without a plan. Focus on being the best in whatever you plan to do. And plan it well before you even take the first step.

Your first task is to decide what you want to do. Make a note of what points you will want in your new venture. After you identify the right business, do your research about the industry and the target market. Look for opportunities and make use of them.

Realistic
Not every one of your wishes will be fulfilled. You need to understand this. If you think that you will achieve success in six or twelve months, it is just a plan for disappointment. A successful lifestyle entrepreneur is one who is realistic.

It is a good idea to set goals. But extend the bigger ones over a span of time. And you will be able to achieve them. Set unachievable goals and you are bound to be let down. Lifestyle entrepreneurs know this, and maintain a realistic approach to attain success.
